Date Change to May 14th - Morrill Elementary Track & Field Day / Due to the forecasted weather, the Morrill Elementary Track & Field Day has been changed from May 7th to May 14th. The schedule of events will remain the same as outlined in the attached note. Thank you for your understanding in making this change!
Staff Appreciation Week May 6th - 10th / We are so excited to get to celebrate the staff here at Morrill Elementary and all that they do for our students! Starting Monday, May 6th through Friday, May 10th, we have special days planned (please see the attached flyer and one will also be coming home with your student). Morrill Elementary Track & Field Day 2024 / The Morrill Elementary Track and Field Day will be on Tuesday, May 7th. We will have KDG-2nd Grade participating in the morning from 9:00-11:30 am and 3rd-6th Grade participating in the afternoon from 12:00-3:00 pm. All events will take place at the high school track. Lunch will be provided by Platte Valley National Bank and all elementary students will eat lunch at the football field. We ask that all students wear tennis shoes, bring sunscreen, and bring a water bottle. Students may want to layer clothes as it could be cooler in the morning and warm up in the afternoon. Please be aware that there will be a limited concession stand available for Track and Field Day. They will serve drinks for $2.50 each, a small cup of ice cream for $1.50, and a small ice cream cone for $2.00. If you would like your student to be able to purchase something from the concession stand, please send them with money. In the case of inclement weather, our backup day for Track & Field Day is Wednesday, May 8th. Thanks everyone!

CHANGE OF SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK!!!
There is a change of schedule for this week. The PAC track meet for JH and HS teams has been moved to Thursday April 25. This changes our schedule for Thursday and Friday. Thursday April 25 there will be NO CLASSES for Students, The Early Learning Center will have a Care only day. Staff will report for a workday and those who have signed up will help with the track meet.
FRIDAY - School will be in session for all grades as a Normal Friday with 2:00 Dismissal.
April 2024 Dates - No School / Morrill Elementary has no school on April 19, April 26, and April 30. Please see the attached flyer for the details. Thank you!
School Assembly April 15th - The NED Show / The NED Show will be coming to present to Morrill Elementary on Monday, April 15th. The assembly teaches kids to never give up, encourage others, and always do their best!! In addition to the assembly, students will also have the opportunity to purchase a yo-yo starting April 15th-23rd from 3:00-3:30 at the elementary office. Superhero Dress-Up Day - April 12th / We will start testing soon and in preparation, we will be doing a superhero dress-up day for all students and staff on Friday, April 12th. Please join us as we gear up to take on our testing season!!
Yesterday our Lions had a lot of fun learning about the solar eclipse. We were lucky that the clouds cooperated and we were able to see it. We also enjoyed some Moon Pies for a treat!
