School Board - Special Meeting April 29, 2024

SCHEDULE FOR THURSDAY AND FRIDAY THIS WEEK
Thursday, April 25, 2024:
NO SCHOOL:
Buses will not be running.
Students in K-12 will not have classes.
The Early Learning Center will have a care-only day.
Staff Workday: Staff will report for a workday.
PAC Track Meet: Starts at 9:00 AM.
Evening with the Arts Event: Scheduled at the HS Gym for 6:00 PM, continues as planned.
Friday, April 26, 2024:
SCHOOL DAY: School will be in session for all levels.
Regular Bus Schedule: Buses will run as normal.
Dismissal: At the normal Friday dismissal time of 2:00 PM.

ATTENTION -- Schedule Change April 25 & 26 / We are sorry for the short notice, but the PAC Track Meet for JH/HS was changed, so it affected these dates: Thursday, April 25th - NO SCHOOL (KDG-12th) / Friday, April 26th - School in Session (Dismissal at 1:50 pm for Elementary). Thank you!
With the change to the schedule for the week, we will still host the Art Connection evening on Thursday evening.
CHANGE OF SCHEDULE FOR THE WEEK!!!
There is a change of schedule for this week. The PAC track meet for JH and HS teams has been moved to Thursday April 25. This changes our schedule for Thursday and Friday. Thursday April 25 there will be NO CLASSES for Students, The Early Learning Center will have a Care only day. Staff will report for a workday and those who have signed up will help with the track meet.
FRIDAY - School will be in session for all grades as a Normal Friday with 2:00 Dismissal.
April 2024 Dates - No School / Morrill Elementary has no school on April 19, April 26, and April 30. Please see the attached flyer for the details. Thank you!
School Assembly April 15th - The NED Show / The NED Show will be coming to present to Morrill Elementary on Monday, April 15th. The assembly teaches kids to never give up, encourage others, and always do their best!! In addition to the assembly, students will also have the opportunity to purchase a yo-yo starting April 15th-23rd from 3:00-3:30 at the elementary office. Superhero Dress-Up Day - April 12th / We will start testing soon and in preparation, we will be doing a superhero dress-up day for all students and staff on Friday, April 12th. Please join us as we gear up to take on our testing season!!
Yesterday our Lions had a lot of fun learning about the solar eclipse. We were lucky that the clouds cooperated and we were able to see it. We also enjoyed some Moon Pies for a treat!

Once again we are proud to share a group of Lions that always bring their best! Our March Lions of the Month have been on top of their game. If you see any of these students out in the wild, be sure to congratulate them!
Solar Eclipse Permission Slip - Due April 8th / On Monday, April 8th, 2024, our area will experience a solar eclipse. The attached solar eclipse permission slip letter provides the details surrounding the solar eclipse and they went home with students on April 4th. If your student was not in school on April 4th, then the form should go home with them today, April 5th. ALL elementary (K-6) students are required to have a signed permission slip in order to be able to go outside to view the solar eclipse on April 8th. If a form is not returned for a student, they will not be able to participate in the outdoor viewing. Please make sure you return your child's permission slip form no later than April 8th. Reminder:
We will be having our Morrill Elementary Kindergarten Round-Up/Registration on Thursday April 4, 2024 from 5:30-6:30 pm in the elementary gym. We encourage families to join us that night if you have a student who is age eligible to attend Kindergarten in the fall. School Safety - Lockdown Drill / Morrill Elementary will participate in a lockdown drill later this week. We wanted to make parents/guardians aware as we will not be allowed to let people in or out of the building during the safety drill.
