Family Game Night 2025 was a ton of fun at Morrill Elementary!
Thank you to all of the Lion families that were able to attend. We loved seeing you playing games together. We have some very competitive students & family members when it comes to board games!
A special thanks to Matt Harris at Platte Valley Bank in Morrill for donations to our door prizes and CJ McCabe at Banner Capital for donating popcorn for our event. Shout out to all of our staff that helped get everything set up & cleaned up. We are so grateful we are able to have a community that supports our school & students.
The Morrill Lions Basketball team & Coach Lofink joined us for Morning Meeting the other day. They were excited to share about how their season is going with our students. The team also gave our Lions some good advice on how to be better students at school and better athletes on the court.
We want to wish the team lots of luck tonight! We'll be cheering loud!

February 4th was Morrill Elementary's 100th Day of School for the year!!! Congratulations to all of our students for being 100 day smarter!!!
Come Support on February 6th, 2025..... | Come out and support our High School basketball teams on February 6th as they compete in a double header for the first round of the Western Trails Conference Tournament. Games will be played at the Morrill Elementary Gym. In addition, the Morrill Elementary PTO will be sponsoring a 3-point contest during the halftime of the girls' and boys' games and a 50/50 raffle. We would love to pack the house and cheer on our LIONS!!!

These Lions are starting 2025 off right! They earned their award for being respectful, responsible, safe, & kind in all areas of school. We love seeing our students doing their best in the classroom, at recess, on the bus, or for a substitute teacher. It's great to know we have kids we can count on to do the right thing. Check Out Our Trout in the Classroom (TIC) Program | The 200 trout eggs have arrived! The 4th - 6th grade Science Classes are getting to raise trout through the Trout in the Classroom (TIC) Program. The TIC is a National program aiming to connect students to their watershed. This program started on the East coast in 1991. Specifically, the NEBRASKA Trout in the Classroom started as a pilot in 2013. We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the Supporters of this program: Nebraska Environmental Trust, Trout Unlimited, and Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. Also, a BIG THANK YOU to our local supporter of the Morrill Foundation for awarding us a classroom grant to purchase an aquarium stand.
