Elementary Book Fair May 8th-12th
We are ending our year celebrating another amazing group of students. Our April Lions of the Month have shown they can be safe, respectful, and responsible all month long. These students are consistently the best of the best. We are so proud of them and we are lucky to have them at our school! Congratulations!

Staff Appreciation Week May 5th - 12th; We are so excited to get to celebrate the staff here at Morrill Elementary and all that they do for our students! Starting Friday, May 5th through Friday, May 12th, we have special days planned (please see the attached flyer and one will also be coming home with your student). The Morrill Elementary Track and Field Day will be on Tuesday, May 9th. We will have KDG-2nd Grade participating in the morning from 9:00-11:00 am and 3rd-6th Grade participating in the afternoon from 12:00-3:00 pm. All events will take place at the high school track. Lunch will be provided by Platte Valley National Bank from 11:00-12:00 and all elementary students will eat lunch at the football field. We ask that all students wear tennis shoes, bring sunscreen, and bring a water bottle. Students may want to layer clothes as it could be cooler in the morning and warm up in the afternoon. Please be aware there will be a limited concession stand available for Track and Field Day. They will serve drinks (pop & water) for $2.50 each, a small cup of ice cream for $1.50, and a small ice cream cone for $2.00. If you would like your student to be able to purchase something from the concession stand, please send them with money. In the case of inclement weather, our backup day for Track & Field Day is Wednesday, May 10th. Thanks everyone!

Morrill Elementary 2023 Kindergarten Round-Up will be on Thursday, April 27th from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. If you have a child who will be 5 years old on or before July 31, 2023, they are eligible to attend Kindergarten in the Fall of 2023. We are encouraging parents/guardians to attend anytime between 5:30-7:00 pm to complete Kindergarten registration paperwork (no appt is necessary). We would also like the incoming Kindergarten students to attend so they can meet the Kindergarten Teachers and learn more about what Kindergarten will be like in the fall. The following paperwork is required for your child to start Kindergarten. If you have any of the below documents, please bring them with you on the night of round-up. 1) A Raised Seal Birth Certificate (We will not accept the hospital issued document that verified birth.) 2) Current Immunizations or a Signed Medical/Religious Exemption Waiver 3) Physical and Eye Exam (Appointments for these need to be completed within 6 months of starting school in the Fall of 2023.)
