We are ending the bus route that has been running through Gering, Scottsbluff and Mitchell to Morrill. We need to reassign some drivers to different routes within our district to meet the needs of our resident students, and help our budget by reducing costs where possible.
Since this route has primarily option enrollment students and we are not required to provide transportation for option students, we have decided to end the bus route to Gering-Scottsbluff-Mitchell effective for this 23-24 school year. This means that we will not be sending a bus to the stops at Gering, Scottsbluff, or Mitchell. If you wish to have your students attending school in Morrill, you will need to transport them to school.
If your student is in K-12 grades they should already have completed and option application that is on file in our office. If you do not have this form completed you will need to have one. If you have a pre-k student or have resident student who is in a custodial arrangement that has been riding the bus, the bus will not be available any more, you will need to arrange to get your child to school.
