Morrill Public Schools provides a Chromebook for every student in grades 3-12 (iPads in grades K-2). Teachers have participated in extensive professional development to equip them with the knowledge and skills to utilize the Chromebooks in innovative ways that engage students, and transform teaching and learning.
Morrill High School has a lab containing ten zSpace units. zSpace is the world's first all-in-one desktop virtual reality device to streamline hardware and software allowing students to manipulate virtual 3D objects. With these devices both elementary and high-school students can do such things as explore biomes around the world, dissect body parts, build and test bridges, explore AND and OR gates of a microprocessor, and create models of the human arm, to name a few.
MakerBot z18 Replicator 3D Printer
Morrill High School has added to its zSpace Lab a MakerBot z18 3D Printer. Students create, store, organize, and access 3D design files in class to print on the MakerBot. MakerBot Thingiverse Education offers teachers hundreds of free lesson plans for easy classroom implementation and project-based learning.
