A note to our Lion families: Please do not drive down or park on Madison Avenue (the street on the east side of the building) during school hours. In the morning & afternoon, that street is where our bus lines are. Students are crossing the street & boarding buses. If the buses have their red lights flashing and their stop signs out you are not allowed to pass around them. During the day students are often crossing that street. Drop off time for students arriving with families begins at 7:30. Pick up time starts at 3:20. If you need to drop off or pick up an elementary school student, please use the parking lot off of Center Avenue on the west side of the building. If you are dropping off a preschool student, please use the parking lot on the north side of the Early Childhood Center. If you need to come to either building during the day, please follow the same procedure. Thank you for helping keep our students safe.

Dear parents and guardians, It is the time of the year when we are planning our elementary music programs! This year will look slightly different due to COVID, but we are happy to say that these programs will be in person! The main difference is that we will have to split the programs to be on two separate nights. Kindergarten-3rd Grade will have their program on May 6th at 6:30 pm. They will be performing a program about imagination so they will not have anything specific to wear; they just have to dress nicely. 3rd grade will have their own speaking parts for this so it is important that they be there! 4th Grade-6th Grade will have their program on May 11 th at 6:30 pm. They need to dress nicely. If they are in band, they will need to have their instruments. 4th Grade will be performing on recorders as well. There will be more information as we get closer! If you know your child will NOT be able to attend, please let us know ahead of time so that we can plan accordingly. If you have any questions, you can call the elementary school or email Mrs. Stumpff at cheyanna.stumpff@mpslions.org Thank you, Mrs. Stumpff and Mr. Baires

Thank you parents for all you did to help us get the kids back in school. As the year progresses, there will be times that parents want or need to come to the school as a visitor or volunteer. We are asking that all parents who come to the school wear a mask, get a temperature check, and are also sanitized before entering. We did let a few parents come in today without a mask because it was the first day, but starting tomorrow we will enforce masks for all adults entering the building as a visitor. Thank you!
