On July 23, 2021, Morrill Public Schools' staff and board kicked off the 2021-2022 school year with a cookout and pool party at the Morrill Community Pool.

Many staff members from the Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary buildings attended along with their families. Five board members were able to join us as well.

Amelia & China made very tasty potato and macaroni salads, Brad Cole provided Frito Lay chips, the Morrill Community Development group provided drinks and buns for the mixed grill including hamburgers, hotdogs and chicken breast.

The cookout began at 6:30; after eating, the staff and board introduced themselves and their family members. There was a very nice mix between new and returning staff. People young and older enjoyed the pool, volleyball, cornhole, other games and just visiting and getting to know each other.

Thanks to all who helped organize and prepare for this activity. Thanks to the kitchen staff, the Morrill Community Development group, to Brad Cole, the Village of Morrill and the Pool Staff, to Brad Derr for preparing and setting up the grill, and thanks to those who brought the yard games.

It was evident that people enjoyed the mixer; thanks to all who came!
