While our two new Principals, Joe Wilson and Jessica Stec have both been in the district many days before their official first day of their contracts, July 1, 2021, they both were greeted by 17 staff at a new Principals' Reception at 8:30 in the morning on July 1st.
They introduced themselves, the staff shared about themselves and their past and current roles at Morrill Schools. The principals also shared their educational philosophies and what the focus of their leadership would be and then answered questions, heard from the staff what they have been really pleased about and also what concerns they had.
It was a very pleasant time, many staff expressed appreciation for having such an event and were hopeful that this would be the first of many meetings that would unite the district and increase openness and transparency.
