7-12 Physical Education and Strength Training
Posted: April 24, 2021
Five years ago Morrill High School built a B & C Steel Building to house our weight room and wrestling practice facility. The weight room is outfitted surprisingly strong for a school our size. Both of our strength training teachers have been hired away from Morrill by much bigger schools as our athletes have made amazing gains in strength and agility.
We are looking for a PE teacher who has a knowledge of, or a proven background in strength and agility training, and of course we would prefer someone who intends to stay a long time and develop a tradition and a legacy here at Morrill High School. Morrill’s AD, High School Principal, Superintendent and School Board are extremely supportive of the pursuit of excellence and have a proven track record of aligning resources to do so.
Our Activities Director, Josh Guerue would be happy to answer any questions you have about the district support for athletics prior to you committing to an interview. Email him at firstname.lastname@example.org
This position offers five periods a day of strength and agility training and two periods a day of more traditional PE periods. We also pay the strength coach a summer stipend for summer strength training. The summer strength training could start right away this summer. There are coaching positions available in Football, Volleyball, and Track.
The 184 day teaching contract begins on August 11, 2021. We would want summer strength and conditioning to start right away, even the last week of May, however transition timing for you and your family will certainly be considered. The base salary is $35,250, we pay an annual Fringe Benefit Stipend of $10,500, and we offer to pay half the single premium of both health and dental BCBS insurance.
