Morrill Jr/Sr High

Principal, Tom Peacock

I am currently the High School Principal at Morrill High School. I have been a teacher, coach, activities director, and now principal over the last 18 years in Morrill. My family and I have resided in Morrill Since 2001. My wife, Becky, has been Morrill's art teacher for over 10 years. Our three daughters have all graduated from Morrill High School.

I was born in Sumter, South Carolina on Shaw Air Force Base. Growing up I have lived on both coasts, several places in between, and have attended 10 different schools in K-12. I attended Glenrock HIgh School my senior year where I graduated in 1986. I attended Black Hills State College for a couple of years where I played football and ran track. I had the honor of serving in the reserves with the United States Army for seven years. I finished my undergraduate degree at the University of Wyoming in education.

I met my amazing wife, Becky, while in Laramie attending college. We were married in Laramie in 1992. We started our family and now have three beautiful daughters, Kaeleigh, Morgan, and Dylainee. I started my teaching career in Nevada at a middle school for two years. We moved to the Phoenix area where we both could find teaching positions. I taught junior high school and Becky taught art between 4 elementary schools in the district. We both knew we wanted to raise our children in a smaller community and that's what brought us to Morrill in 1999.

Since moving to Morrill, I have received my master's degree in Educational Administration from Chadron State College. I am also finishing another master's degree in Sports Management from American Public University. We have fallen in love with the valley over the last 18 years. Our children grew up in this community and we have made Morrill our home...something I never had in my childhood. The students I have taught and coached over the years in Morrill have become a big part of our lives. I hope to have the same positive impact in the lives of our students as they do in mine.
